Well, first I pictured what I thought was a pear, but then I realized that wasn’t a vegetable so I turned it into a squash.
Either way, it wasn’t a carrot and I just lost 30 seconds of my life that I can never get back.

My first thought was banana’s…then cabbage…well I suppose it has a C in it…and an A… ::Yawn::

I got carrot the first time I ever did it about a year ago. Since I knew what was coming, I made a concious effort to think of a different vegetable and got broccoli (no, not broccoli!) this time. So I guess I am a “normal” person except when I know I’m going to be normal and then I make a concious effort not to be.
I think I’ve got you all beat, the first thing I thought was “turkey”…I have absolutely no clue.
I thought of a carrot, and now I’m peeved at being manipulated like that! Stupid arrows…

The first time I did that I thought broccoli! I did it again reading your post and I thought carrot… weird… (and yes I had forgotten what you were “suppose” to think of). I guess I lost my exceptional quality of being different!
Wierd, I thought of a rutabaga too. Out of the two percent of the population that doesn’t think of a carrot, what are the chances that two people are both going to say rutabaga considering what a shitty little vegetable it is? I was thinking avocado first, but that’s a fruit.
I thought ‘bread’. Hey, it’s kinda a vegetable.

Hey, Arden, me too. And I thought of “lettuce” the first time I saw this “game”, all those years ago. And I thought of “lettuce” the second time, and the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh time, too.
This makes an even dozen.
Asparagus.
I tried to reconstruct the stream of consciousness that got me there. I think that the “six six six sixsixsixsixsix” mentally changed into “sex sex sex sexsexsexsexsex” Then, when I was asked about a vegetable I must have been (subconsciously) thinking about SEX with a vegetable, which made me think of Britney Spears. Spears -> asparagus spears -> asparagus.
I like Pyschology.
