Sometime back in the 80s I heard a catchy, up-tempo accordion-based cover of the doo-wop 50s classic. I remember taping it off the radio (KSAN) and bopping to it on my car cassette stereo.

Well, that tape is long gone…and if I actually knew the artist back then, the name has faded into the mists of time. My google and youtube searches have been fruitless (lots of covers, none even close), so I figured I might as well offer the mystery up as a challenge to the gang here. Any ideas?

The Colin Hicks & His Cabin Boys version is kind of close energy-wise, but no accordion.
