Friends, I am trying to remember a science fiction film in the late 60s about the American and Russian race to the moon. What I remember about the plot is the Russians beat us to the moon and when the American arrives he finds the cosmonauts dead, he takes their flag as a gesture of respect and searches for a storage & supply depot NASA sent up before he arrived. The American astronaut almost at the end of his oxygen supply finally finds the supply base and the movie ends as he walks up to the craft. Does anyone remember this film based on my faulty remembrances?
