I’m so confused. I haven’t gotten any notices from the Maryland MVA about Real ID, and my license doesn’t expire for another 2 years. The MVA has a site where you can put your license number in and see what’s needed, so I did and it says I don’t need to bring in any documents. I last renewed in 2013 and apparently Maryland has been Real ID compliant since 2011, but I have no recollection of bringing in any of the verification documents. And my current license doesn’t have a star on it. They’ve changed the design since then and there was an option on the website to order a duplicate “secure” license with the new design, so I’ve done that. Maybe that will have a star on it. I must have given them documents at some point and just forgotten about it. ---
