It may be unnecessarily rude and vulgar but it is not hate speech. If you really thought it to be hate speech, you would ban it’s use against anyone. Not just other posters. ---

[Not universally](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=508876&highlight=cunt), however what pains me most is **Rico** ’s inability to distinguish between the words “flout” and “flaunt”: “But to blatantly poke a rule in our face by disregarding and deliberately flaunting it?” I supose you could parse it that he was flouting the rule and then flaunting the flouting, but then you wouldn’t need the modifier, since you can’t accidentally flaunt something. ---

I guess i’ll bump this, in case **TubaDiva** is interested in explaining how we might have followed her instructions without running afoul of the board rules. Not holding my breath, of course, given that her SOP lately is to close ATMB threads rather than contribute to them. ---
