Is anyone else thinking that her death might be a foreshadowing of the death of this board? It appears that she was a one-woman show administratively. Could it be that the corporate overlords might not be interested in appointing a successor and let it wither on the vine, or just pull the plug completely? ---

Let’s not be so pessimistic. One hopes that after all the expense and effort of moving the board to Discourse that management will want to continue the board, and even see it grow. ---

I had the same thought. The best thing we can do for SDMB is keep the volume up. The best thing we can do for Jenny’s family is donate when / where asked. ---

OMG, she was the exact same age as a cousin of mine, and just seven weeks younger than me. My she rest in peace and rise in glory. I will pray for her family. ---

I am shocked and saddened, just learning this news today. I never interacted with her directly, but now I regret never saying “thanks”. A reminder to never pass-up an opportunity to tell someone how you feel about them - you never know when you’ll never have that opportunity again. ---

I just read this 5 minutes ago. I have been off the internet for a few weeks. This is a tough blow. She and I have been friends since 1999. As is the case with every friendship, sometimes closer sometimes not so close. But the joy and respect and commitment to supporting others is what she was about. I’m very broken to read this and now there are things that will go left unsaid except in my prayers. Rest in peace, Jenny.
