Thanks **Ed**. I suppose the missing factor was that I was unaware of **Tuba** truly being contrite and realizing the seriousness of what she’d done. So I guess it goes into the ‘serious error in judgement which can be corrected’ category. ---

She seemed genuinely contrite. Had she been defiant I would have fired her. As it was, well, I gave the situation a lot of thought. Sounds like her first response was not that contrite, and she only apologized after it was responded to with “many capital letters and explanation points”. Didn’t realize she did something wrong until she was yelled at by Ed Zotti. “In general she didn’t argue” - there would be no reason for the ‘In general’ part if he did not feel she was at least somewhat argumentative. ---

Blue Ruin, I don’t know where you live, but where I am it’s a beautiful day: The sky is sunny, the breeze is light, the snow is melting and the first shoots of snowdrops and crocuses are bursting through the surface. It’s a day to smile and celebrate the end of winter. It’s a day to call your parents to tell them you love them, just because they’re still alive and you _can_ call them, which won’t be true for always. It’s a day to go for a walk, and smile at your neighbors who are walking their dogs. It’s a day to skip stones across a pond that is now freshly free of ice.
