Moderators do not have permissions to change names, so all name changes are going to have to wait until we have a new admin. ---

Got it. I sent a request for a name change to TubaDiva a couple of weeks ago, but I just heard of her passing today. I didn’t know if there was a new Admin yet. Thanks! ---

If this question was posted in the announcement thread, or a memorial thread, I could see this as being appalling. But a thread on the logistics and operations of the board posted in ATMB doesn’t seem out of place to me, especially since our late TubaDiva essentially _was_ the logistics and operations of the board. IMHO, today and tomorrow and the days after that, we can mourn and be heartbroken, and still have questions about how things will operate now that she’s gone. Being as entrenched in the nuts and bolts of the SDMB, I have to think she would even appreciate such questions. Or would at least be kind and humble in her disagreement. YMMV. ---

See the sticky at the top of the forum regarding the situation with regard to administration functions. Since we are unable to do anything about this at the moment, I’m going to close this.
