Turbo Tax removes Schedule D from desktop program

I’m considering TaxACT Deluxe (which includes one State), but I need to know the cost of the second State. Anybody know what the second State costs?

Thanks.

I have been using TurboTax Deluxe for years. It allowed me to file a Federal return, with a State return for my wife and I and both of our kids.

This year, I got through the first return and attempted to pay for the State return (the Federal return is free for those of us with no deductions at all) only to have the payment connection to TurboTax time out after two or three seconds. Two more returns later with the same results, and a total of about an hour waiting on their answers line have made this the last year I will be using them.

I read an article that says TurboTax is temporarily disabling state returns because of a problem with too many fraudulent submissions. Might have something to do with the Anthem breach. Either way too bad the software can’t tell you that, or maybe it is trying to but too many people are retrying and overwhelming the servers.

I spent forty five minutes on the phone with the sales and service department and finally got it hammered out. I am going a different direction next year. Intuit was just not up to snuff

CNN article about TurboTax halting state e-filings.

Doesn’t really matter to me because IIRC you have to pay $20 to e-file a state return, so I just use TurboTax to fill it out, then I print it and mail it.
