Since I’m nefariously getting my mother hooked on MST3K (after the series is over, of course…why should my family’s reaction time to _this_ cultural phenomenon be any different than usual?), I did a mini-Turkey-Day single-film-not-unusually-festive-festival and gave her a choice of “the really, really bad movie” or “the just-kind-of-stupid movie”. She picked just-kind-of-stupid, so we watched _Merlin’s Shop of Mystical Wonders_. The “really, really bad movie,” which is, incidentally, Manos, will be played on Saturday morning in lieu of the normal and scheduled-to-be-absent showing of MST3K. Is it wrong to _want_ a loved one to experience the pain of _Manos_? BWAAAHAHAHAHA!!! ---

I hurt myself laughing during “Mr. B. Natural” a few years ago, and the recent Gumby short shown before “The Screaming Skull” was hysterical. I also loved the MiSTing of “The Screaming Skull.” “It’s like they have two servings of tension that they’re trying to stretch out for seven people.” “Umm, can we help you, movie lady? Do you need a push or something?” Some episodes are better than others, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen an ep I didn’t like.
