[Is there a way to permanently silence somebody’s loud car stereo?](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a3_294.html)

My neighbors and I have arrived at an unspoken understanding: loud stuff is okay on Friday and Saturday evenings, but no other time. If they decide to put on some thumpa-thumpa music, I put in a CD with Taiko (HUGE Japanese drums), turn up my subwoofer, and drown them out. Take that, young ne’er-do-wells…
