It is (was?) a message board started by a member of this board. Because of that connection, there are a number of people who post both here and there.
The OP is referring to the fact that on a couple of occasions when this board has been shut down due to technical issues, a lot of people from here started posting on the Giraffe board.

I cannot believe that the current vote between _Sally Forth_ and _Baby Blues_ is so close. _Sally Forth_ is one of the best comic strips being currently produced and _Baby Blues_ is just pedestrian. It looks like _Sally Forth_ will advance but there is no way that it should have been in this kind of danger in Round 1.

That’s what I was seeing yesterday. It’s weird. I’m able to see it now. Some people can only see one thread or forum, and some people can see everything.
I’ll see if I can find out anything more concrete.
