Morning, mumpers! It’s bright and shiny here today, sun’s out and the last of the snow and ice should be melting. The weather app says “No one gives two fucks how cold you think you are” and promises me 1C/34F to 3C/38F today. Bogbrush the Colossally Incompetent has decreed that we shall have another national lockdown in England, which becomes law on Wednesday. Thus today, whilst still apparently a lockdown day, means that primary schools can still open (just for one day) so that the kids can go to school, collect their dose of virus and then go home for at least six weeks. Craziness will ensue, that’s for sure. It won’t make much difference to me, I’m still working at home and generally going nowhere apart from the supermarket once a week. Since the gyms are shut again, I’ve resurrected my Rockfit membership so there will be incidences of choreographed flailing in my living room two or three times a week. I had a go last night, and just about managed to keep up with things although a couple of the steps confused me a bit. It doesn’t help that I am as graceful and delicate as a hippo with three extra legs. **{{{{{Everyone}}}}}** ---

I am surprised we didn’t get at least an email saying the paperwork had been received. Oh well… My husband’s youngest aunt (still a decade plus older than us) suddenly wants to be a pen-pal/text-pal. She sent me several very long texts yesterday before finally asking what’s the best way to maintain contact. I suggested email, mainly because I hate the phone touchpad for long communications. Here’s hoping she complies. She and her husband are recovering from COVID and, naturally, haven’t seen their kids or grandkids in quite a while. I think she’s mostly lonely and bored. And you’re not up to date on my exciting life. Yeah, exciting, that’s the word. Happy Tuesday!! ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 45 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 65 and N.O.S. for the day. Laundry shall be accomplished and I have an appointment with Gastroenterology at two forty-five this afternoon. This is the preliminary appt. for a colonoscopy. Don’t want to go through that, but I shall be an adult about it all for it is a necessary thing and 'tis time to do so. Alas. We shall swipe the General’s sup. I shall call OYKW when I’m done and he’ll place the order for me to pickup on my way back to da cave. **doggio** of course you were involved in a brawl at Waffle House. If one is in a WH late night, it is required that one be involved in a brawl. **Pup** retirement is da bomb! I have never ever wished I was still at irk. Not even once! **Sunny** enjoy the new stove. Hope Beamer is feelin’ better today. **Shoe and Miss\_Owl** yay for both of you! Hussy away, I say. **{{{shades}}}** just cause it looks like you could use a hug. We are suspendin’ in person worship at least for the next three weeks. The uptick in Covid cases is such that it is necessary to do so. The Vestry monitors info from the CDC etc and the numbers have reached the threshold we set for suspendin’ in person worship. So, online it is for the next few weeks. Hopefully we can start up again come February. I am so ready for all this to be over. Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah. Happy Tuesday Y’all! ---

Morning all. I actually went into irk today, for what looks like it’ll be the last time. I got the stuff I needed from the office and scuttled home again, 'cos with the building being empty (the site security guy unlocked it for me) they had no heating on, so I couldn’t feel my fingers after a few minutes. I’m not going to miss that commute, I’ll say that much… Back to the househunting. Stuff seems to be either: not actually available (even though the ad was bumped minutes ago), only available to students (it’s a tax thing) or just about big enough to squeeze a single bed in, so long as it holds its breath. Not ideal. ---

I was all proud of myself last night that I got into bed by 10:30 (woo hoo!!!). Until 12:30 rolled around and I realized I’d been watching Bridgerton (I have no idea if it’s actually Bridgerton or Bridgertons) on Netflix for two hours. Well, let’s hope today I do better. Coffee. Work. The usual. Though the kids go back to virtual school today. I miss them sleeping until 9 or later already. I’ve just spent the last 20-30 minutes attempting to drag a 14 year old boy out of bed. He had the same trouble I did falling asleep; I could hear him rumbling in his room until at least when I went to bed. He has to sleep in his back brace, which must be uncomfortable. Oh, well. I guess I need to go pretend to be responsible. I also need to see whether I can go to funerals (likely not) or if they will be attended via Zoom, which I hate. It seems awful and morbid and so very distant, but I guess that’s the point. ---

Not mad, I really didn’t need in and if it goes to people who need it more, that’s great, but would like to know how they came up with $13.55 as my share of the $600… Not making it to 50F today so house heater and space heater will get a workout today. Roxy and I are back upstairs after a couple of hours of basement fun. She’s singing Happy Birthday to Higgs for some unknowable reason (Higgs’ B-day is in July.) In about an hour, I’ll shovel some lunch into her face, then get her to take a nap so I can tend to some things that require more attention than she’ll allow. **Talky** - I’m watching _Bridgerton_ also - it’s fun and I like that I don’t have to think too hard while watching it. Howdy, irk from home day. It’s not feeling it but feel it I must. All that stupid training ain’t gonna do itself. Plus I brought home actual irk. Gotta pay my vendors and save the disbursement forms to print tomorrow at irk. No printer at home and I ain’t lugging one here. I checked on my stimulus payment and for whatever reason I am being mailed a check vs direct deposit. It was a direct deposit last time. F’ing government. Got a call that my MRI was approved but I gotta come out of pocket over $600 due to new year. My knee actually feels better so I shall ponder not doing it for a few days to see if the improvement holds. Back to actual irk. Happy Tuesday everyone. ---

Another day in furlough paradise. Caffeine is kicking in and laundry is going round and round. Not much else on tap for today. Sofa has been ordered! 4-10 weeks for delivery. Something tells me it will be closer to 10 than 4. It’s a sectional with do-it-yourself assembly which looks like a good deal of effort, so I guess I’m not in a hurry. **Owl** and **Shoe** , may your dates go well, for whatever definition of “well” you happen to decide upon!
