Mid-dau is pulling a recipe out of her butt. Salmon quiche. Ok ok. I’m told it’s good.(I’ll give quiche a chance). Don’t get the connection with Turtle soup? Me either, really. Just sounds like the least likely thing I’d want to eat. Ever. So…in the interim I’m watching TBBT. For some reason they’re showing loads of them, on TBS. At the end credits they show a statement. I’m sure it’s entertaining and fun to read. I would like to read these. Short of DVR-ing the whole series and pausing to read each one, is there a place to go on the internet to find them? ---

That’s because it IS. Turtle soup always reminds of the Mock Turtle’s song in Alice in Wonderland: > 'Beautiful Soup, so rich and green, > Waiting in a hot tureen! > Who for such dainties would not stoop? > Soup of the evening, beautiful Soup! > Soup of the evening, beautiful Soup! > Beau—ootiful Soo—oop! > Beau—ootiful Soo—oop! > Soo—oop of the e—e—evening, > Beautiful, beautiful Soup! He’s referring, of course, to mock turtle soup. Just now it occurred to me to wonder if there really was a mock turtle soup, so I looked it up. There is! The modern version isn’t green, though, or at least, the recipes I saw weren’t. The ingredients of the soup Carroll would have known probably aren’t going to make it more appealing, Beck: calf’s brains and calf’s head. ---
