No, definitely not Robert Conrad. The series I’m thinking of had, in its first episode, our hero finding a blue spruce needle at a crime scene and uttering the infamous line “this kind of thing is candy to a tracker.”
Now that I think of it, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Robert Urich, but he had the same energy (i.e., molasses in late autumn).
