Lt. Col. Henry Blake (played by MacLean Stevenson) was the original commander on the TV series MASH. He had a wife back home but it was made clear on the show that he was having affairs in Korea. It was even a plot point in one episode when his wife sent him a letter saying she would understand if he had an affair while they were separated; at first he thought this was great until he realized it meant she had also had an affair.
