Look at Tom Cruise or John Travolta or Will Smith. Their careers are going great.

The more realistic view is the sad reality; Kirstie Alley’s career went into decline because she’s an actress and Hollywood doesn’t support aging actresses the way it supports aging actors. You could have predicted thirty years ago that Ted Danson, Woody Harrelson, Kelsey Grammer, John Ratzenburger, and George Wendt would have better careers in 2021 than Kirstie Alley, Shelly Long, Bebe Neuwirth, and Rhea Perlman.
