    managed 38 episodes on the strength of the leads’ reputations-- but I saw the premiere-- if it had starred unknowns, a second ep would not have aired-- Thomas Lennon was a one-trick pony, who at least pulled off the one-trick all right. Perry was so awful, I once saw a Norwegian exchange student in a high school acting class play Blanch DuBois less self-consciously. And it was the scene alone with Stanley.
