I just now noticed that she was Sergeant Pepper. Was that how she got that nickname? I was really little when that show was on, and my parents watched it irregularly, so I only occasionally saw it, and then even more rarely caught it in reruns.

That appears to be a coincidence. Several sources list her full name as either Suzanne, Leanne or Lee Ann Anderson. Perhaps because of her sex and occupation it was given.
