    An attempt to see if the 50s mania spurred by Happy Days and Grease could be extended to the 1940s it couldn’t. Four young stereotypes-- I mean, women, live in a tiny apartment together and sort of reluctantly work for the war effort. Some male characters are shoehorned in by making one too old for the draft, and the other one flat-footed-- but constantly trying to enlist anyway (a running joke that kept tripping over its shoelaces). Didn’t last a season, IIRC, although it had some good talent, and many performers in it went onto success-- such as Annie Potts.
