OUT OF PLAY: That episode is relevant on a couple of levels. Oklahoma being one of the reddest of red states, they surprisingly legalized medical marijuana some number of years before the show started filming. However, they didn’t really put much language into their law besides “medical marijuana is now legal,” so basically it became a free for all. The state earned the nickname “Toke-lahoma” because of the wide-open weed market there. Now with egg on their faces (as they faced their uptight conservative Christian constituents), the legislature basically admitteed that the beast they created is too large and unruly to try to bring back into the barn, as it were.

The Big Bang Theory - Early in the episode "The Birthday Synchronicity*, Bernadette goes into labor with her and Howard’s first child. Over the course of the episode, she goes to the hospital, is sent home because her contractions are too far apart, eventually returns to the hospital, and goes through various scenes (walking around, chewing ice, etc.) before finally giving birth to Halley near the end of the episode.
