Wasn’t that one of a series of nine TV movies starring Tom Selleck as disgraced LA homicide detective Jesse Stone who relocates to a small town in Massachusetts to take a position as their police chief?
Maybe I’m nitpicking, but seeing as it’s a movie franchise that ran out over ten years rather than a regularly-scheduled weekly TV series, does it really belong in this llist?

I’m pretty sure that it was posted in reference to the long-running BBC TV series (which is also a staple on U.S. public television), set on a small, fictional in the Caribbean, featuring several different fish-out-of-water English police detectives trying to fit in with a police department of locals.

It’s a comedy/drama police procedural, usually with a “locked-room” murder case, and very little overt violence.

And usually a “cozy” mystery, and I dont remember any gunfights.
