An exchange between Tyra Banks and Will Smith from **The Fresh Prince** , when will is wearing a cheesy looking fake mustache:

Tyra, “That’s a fake mustache!”

Will, “No it’s not!”

She rips it off. “Yes it is!”

Will, sheepishly, “No it’s not!”

From **Mr. Belvedere** : Wesley is playing with a Mr. Belvedere puppet and singing a song that ends with, “London Bridge is falling down…'cause I stepped on it!”

Perhaps not in the category of the OP, but more like a line I will remember for a long time.

From Sunny in Philadelphia Season 5 (this last season) The DENNIS system episode 5.10.

Frank: See, I would have gone in and bought a box of magnum condoms, thus demonstrating I have a monster dong.

> Sometimes I think that I just don’t get a lot of american humour, but then I remeber such classics as Cheers and this…
>
> Woody: Boy, Dr. Sternin-Crane having an affair with another guy. This reminds me of a terrible scandal we had back in Hanover, rocked the whole town to its core. Mayor’s wife ran off with old Mr. Smithers.
> Frasier: Well, that’s not so scandalous, Woody.
> Woody: Well, Mr. Smithers was a goat.

This just made me laugh so hard. I haven’t watched Cheers in forever, sometime I forget how hilarious it was!

The only show I can remember any specific lines from right now is The Simpsons, probably because I’ve seen every episode from the first ten seasons or so more times than I can count. I love all the lines that have been posted so far, and there are so many more that it could likely have it’s own thread. Some of my favourites:

(Drunk Homer rescues Lisa and Bart from a forest fire)
Lisa: You did it, dad!
Homer: You can’t prove I did it!
Lisa: No, you saved our lives!
Homer: I could do a lot of things if I had some money…
Lisa: Huh?

(Selma takes the kids to Duff Gardens and Lisa trips out after drinking the water in the boat ride)
Man: Give her two of these, and one of these, and three of these (hands over a bunch of pills to Selma)
Selma: Thank you, doctor.
Man: Oh, I’m not a doctor.

Also from that same episode:

Homer: I’d like to be alone with the sandwich for a moment, Marge.
Marge: Are you going to eat it?
Homer: Yes.

There was an episode of _Golden Girls_, where Betty White was talking about a doctor in St. Olaf who was an Obstetrician/Magician. She held up her hand as if she was holding a card, and said “Is \*THIS \*your baby?”

My wife says that all the time, and it still cracks her up.

I’ll throw a line from the NFL in it. Back in the 1970s during a Dallas Cowboy game at some point Pat Summerall and Tom Brookshier would say “Tom Landry is the only coach the Cowboys have ever had.” At some point they realized this and would say “Have we said yet that Tom Landry is the only coach in Cowboy history?”

NBC News “Good night Chet. Good Night David. And goodnight fom NBC news”
CBS News “And that’s the way it is, Friday March 12th”…

Everybody Loves Raymond:

Ray and Robert walk into Nemo’s Pizzaria, only to find Robert’s Italian girlfriend’s Italian father behind the counter. Glowering at them with the hate of a thousand suns.

Raymond: “So, Mario…you bought Nemo’s?..Where is, Nemo, I haven’t seen him in weeks?”

Mario: (in a gruff Godfather voice) “Nemo? He go away,”

Raymond: “He went away? Where did Nemo go?”

Mario: (raising voice in threatening manner) “AWAY!!!”

Ray and Robert slowly back away…

So now when someone or something disappears around here, my daughter and i go into the “it go AWAY” routine.

> From MASH, a soldier has the last of the tapioca pudding but he’s not eating it Frank commandeers it and chides the soldier for being wasteful. As he digs into the pudding he says “Mmm, raisins!” the soldier deadpans, “No, flies”, which if course is why he wasn’t eating it. I couldn’t eat raisins again. So I may not use the phrase but it certainly stuck with me.

I often use a similar quote from a BC strip (although there is nothing particularly prehistoric about it):

_“Waiter, there’s a fly in the soup!”_

_“Can’t be, i used them all in the raisin bread!”_

My fave from Babylon 5 – when G’Kar finds out that Delenn knew that the Narn we’re going to be attacked and did nothing:

Delenn: And someday, when all this is over, perhaps you will find it in your heart to forgive me."

G’Kar: “Perhaps, but not today.”

Same episode, I think: When Homer tries to throw away the sandwich, and runs back out to fish it out of the trash: “Oh, sandwich. How could I stay mad at you?”

I watched the episode with Scotty in it yesterday, and we had a lovely little callback scene with Scotty and Data in Ten Forward - Scotty is looking for real booze, and Data finds a bottle of something behind the bar. Scotty asks what it is, and Data, after examining it thoroughly, pronounces, “It is…green.”

I’ve been re-watching all the TNG episodes, and I think they should be renamed “The Patrick Stewart and Brent Spiner Show.” Damn, those guys were good.
