My wife and I are binge watching Frasier and we’re now at the point where Daphne’s mom is staying with them. Daphne’s mom is a character who really overstays her welcome on that show. ---

I don’t mind Daphne’s mom but I find Bulldog, who appeared in 5 of the 11 seasons, cringey. I think I posted this before. Maybe in this thead. I dunno. It’s early. I’ve only one cup of coffee in me. mmm ---

I’m enjoying “The Glory” which is in it’s second season on Netflix. The character I can’t stand because she is just so evil and selfish and shallow is Park Yeon-jin played by the very fine actress Lim Ji-yeon. ---

I hear about people who supposedly love her. I can’t recall seeing her in any shows other than those 2, and she was the least likeable character in both. ---

I think I remember liking her in Cheers. Not that the character is likable but she played it well. Maybe too well, and that’s why a lot don’t like here. I’m pretty sure she’s supposed to be rather unlikable on Modern Family, and once again she does it well, but at least the character of DeDe allows her to be goofy and undignified, which I get a kick out of. ---

I’ve seen two early Shelley Long roles that are quite different from the persona she developed on _Cheers_; _Caveman_ and _Night Shift_. Not saying anyone will necessarily like her in those, but worth a try. ---

Nicholas Gehlfuss as Dr. Will Halstead on _Chicago Med_. This guy has crossed the line so many times it’s ridiculous, even by TV medical show “standards”. He should have long ago been fired and had his license pulled. Incredibly unlikeable. ---

This could almost be another thread, but there are a few actors that I have trouble watching because I can NEVER see them as their character, only as the actor. I think Pete Davidson is hilarious, but only when he’s just being Pete Davidson. His “work” in anything besides SNL doesn’t. From the Rotten Tomatoes review of “Meet Cute”, where someone decided he could be a leading man in a rom-com: > …characters we never entirely understand (and a “message” that feels drastically hollow), result in this meet cute being anything but. So, anyhow, I liked _Two And A Half Men,_ but not Ashton Kutcher. _CSI-Wherever,_ except for David Caruso, _New Girl,_ except for Megan Fox, _Band of Brothers,_ except for David Schwimmer… the list goes on and on. ---

Now, I actually liked Ashton Kutcher. But the writing on that show went down the toilet in the last couple of seasons. Disgusting. I hated ‘Charlie’s daughter’ and Oswald Patton’s character, and ‘Rose’ - loathed Rose. The last season was unwatchable, I only caught glimpses and was sorry I did.
