# Tv sound off

I was watching it an hour ago. Turned it off. Now its on but theres no sound. I can press the volume button and see the numbers go up but…no sound. I hope its not broke.
Edited-I unplugged it. Now its working. carry on.

We have a cheap Vizio brand soundbar on our TV. Literally every other day or so, it stops working, and we have to unplug it and plug it back in, and it works again. I suspect one day power cycling will fail. So I can sympathize. Consumer electronics these days, like TVs and soundbars, are made very cheaply and not designed to last at all.

My soundbar has a similar problem, although not as often. I eventually got a wifi-controlled power switch and connected it to my Echo, so I can just say “Alexa, turn off soundbar. Alexa, turn on soundbar.” I was getting tired of getting up to deal with it 🤣
