# tv theme info

ok, ppl…

there was an old series loosely based on the _Matt Helm_ movie series called _Matt Helm, Private Detective_. It starred Tony Franciosa. I remember how the theme sounded and i am convinced it was a John Williams composition. Am i wrong?

Yes, you are wrong. [Morton Stevens](http://www.filmmusicsociety.org/news_events/features/2010/082010.html) was the composer. He is most famous for the theme to Hawaii Five-0

Hey, we both learned something! Your question got me curious, and I ended up finding that page after a little bit of searching. I liked the description of him as being _“…among the hippest TV theme writers of that pre-Mike Post era.”_
