For the next two questions, you might want to use IMDB.

The subject of #14 is the actor from #12, by the way.

I could get number 12 through [imdb.com](http://imdb.com) I’m sure (btw, I really don’t like the way they’ve changed their line-up: they no longer differentiate between regulars on series and guest appearances) but I won’t. But 13/14 I think I can guess as I only know one actor of whom both are true.

1. Which castmember got his start playing second-fiddle to a large man in a 50s TV show?

Art “Ed Norton” Carney

1. In what year did he win a major award?
1975 (the Oscar- I really did know this- promise)

2. Who won 3 awards that year?
Les Nessman (Buckeye Newshawk, Silver Sow, and Tri City Spelling Bee)?

Ah, okay- I got them all now, but I had to go to [imdb.com](http://imdb.com) three times to do it, so I won’t count it.

1. She was nominated for an Oscar for a supporting role in a 1970s movie (she didn’t win), then became a regular on the TV show that was spun-off of the movie, but as a completely different character (she joined the show after the person who played her movie character left the show). Name her.

2. Name her most famous child.

3. Number 2 was the first gay love interest of what TV character?

4. Number 3’s biggest box office success to date was for a supporting role in this animated movie.

5. The very famous birth name of the male lead of number 4.

6. The Australian actor/director who played the more famous number 5 in a bizarre 1988 movie.

7. Co-star of the above in his next film who has since appeared in all six movies of two phenomenally successful trilogies of the past decade.

8. Cult classic Movie in which Number 7 travelled across country to be with the son he had never met.

9. English performer who played the female lead in 8.

10. Television series in which number 9 plays a role most famously played (but not originated) by Marlon Brando.

11. Actress who plays the main character’s mother on the above.

12. Movie for which both she and her real-life husband were nominated for an Oscar (hint: it wasn’t for acting).

13. Actor who portrayed a hyperbolic professor in a cameo in the above (hint: he has appeared in at least two other films with the movie’s director/writer).

14. Television series for which he is most famous.

15. Rock star who is the son of a cast member of 14.

16. Actress with whom 15 has a daughter.

17. Actor who starred as her lover in a controversial 1987 movie.

18. John Grisham movie in which he played a sleazy lawyer.

19. Director of 18.

20. Movie that connects 19 to 1.

**SCRATCH NUMBER 20 ABOVE!**

I was mistaken about a directing credit. The rest are correct though.

For 20, substitute the following:

1. Actor who appeared in 3 films with 19, the last one as a surfer with one of the most famous lines in filmdom.

2. Connect 20 to 1 & 2.
