I was trying to compile a list of TV shows situated in all the 50 US states and DC. I found at least one for some, but can’t think of examples for the rest. (I don’t count “road” shows [Incredible Hulk, The Fugative] that happen to have one episode in a state, nor miniseries.) Here’s what I got so far: \\code:\\\ Alaska - Northern Exposure Alabama - ? California - Three’s Company, etc. Colorado - Dynasty Connecticut - Soap (Dunn’s River, CT) Delaware - Pretender (The Centre scenes are in Blue Cove; can you think of a better one?) DC - Scarecrow & Mrs. King Florida - Miami Vice Georgia - Dukes Of Hazzard Hawaii - Magnum PI Idaho - ? Illinois - ER Indiana - One Day at a Time Iowa - ? Kentucky - ? Kansas - ? Louisiana - ? Maine - ? Maryland - Homicide: Life in the Streets Massachusetts - Cheers Michigan - Home Improvement Minnesota - Coach Mississippi - ? Missouri - ? Montana - ? Nebraska - ? Nevada - Vega$ New Hampshire - ? New Jersey - Down the Shore New Mexico - Quantum Leap (future scenes were in NM mountains; better example?) New York - Friends North Carolina - The Andy Griffith Show North Dakota - ? Ohio - Family Ties Oklahoma - ? Oregon - ? Pennsylvania - Angie Rhode Island - Providence South Carolina - ? South Dakota - ? Tennessee - ? Texas - Dallas Utah - ? Vermont - Newhart (even though it was dreamed by a guy in Illinois) Viginia - The Waltons Washington - Frasier West Virginia - ? Sanford was from St. Louis, but the show was set in Los Angeles. Lucas Tanner (boy, that’s an obscure one) was set in St. Louis, and I believe there was a series based on Tom Sawyer that was located in, obviously, Hannibal. * * * I understand all the words, they just don’t make sense together like that. ---

For some of the bread basket states and western states you may need to look back to the 50’s. ---

Is the show “Roswell” or “Roswell High” or whatever it’s called actually set in Roswell, New Mexico? If so, that’s probably the best representative for the Land of Enchantment. If not, oh well. ## But “Murder She Wrote” was indeed set in Maine. Heck is where you go when you don’t believe in Gosh. ---

The great _American Gothic_ was set in South Carolina. _Apple’s Way_, an 80’s show with Ronny Cox and Kristy McNichol, was set in Iowa. Something occurs to me - if we can come with 49 states but are stuck on just one - that must be where the Simpson’s Springfield is. ---
