I don’t know whether anyone tops Reese. We just saw the trip to China episode and damn, that boy is stupid. Archie Bunker is another classic one, though a bit ahead of Reese, I think. For some reason, it seems to be mostly males, although a few females stand out at least historically. Chrissy from Three’s Company was a couple boats short of a fleet. Who are the ones you find most memorable? ---

In the category of zany dumb – that is, perfectly logical but totally wackyk, and wonderfully funny, Gracie Allen is clearly tops. “I don’t want to waste electricity, so I only plug in the clock when I want to know what time it is.” “Small cars use more gas. Randy Hickey on “My Name is Earl” is probably the dimmest of all the mostly dim characters on that show (his mother says he’s “special”). ---
