ICE and Homeland Security has shut down the oh so popular “media viewing” website which has been host to thousands of tv shows and movies. Heads up other websites and torrent sites, ICE coming your way! ---

How does seizing a domain work? Can a U.S. agency take over a domain registered in another country? Do they need to approval of the country where the domain is registered? (In this case it is a territory of Australia) Do they instead block access to that domain from within the U.S.? If that is the case, it sounds like the beginnings of a national firewall like China’s. ---
