Dancing has always pushed the boundaries of good taste. I like to dance and sure my pelvis has been known to move. 😉 Twerking is beyond sickening. Watching someone bump and grind like they’re getting sodomized isn’t dance. What’s next full out intercourse on the dance floor? Stick it in her and go for it. :rolleyes: Maybe ram a dildo in her butt while they are at it. I can’t ever recall being as disgusted and revolted with anything as that Miley Cyrus crap on the VMA’s. ---

I think I’m a fan, but I’m not sure whether to laugh or start touching myself. She’s got a lot more to work with than some of the girls in the other videos in this thread. Oh, my. :eek: ---

I was talking about activities on so called entertainment tv. You know the family hour? When moms, dads and kids are watching Miley Cyrus act like a tramp? Twerking ranks extremely low in terms of crimes against humanity. That’s an entirely different real life tragedy from the garbage on our tv sets. ---

Yeah a woman dancing like that is acting like a tramp. Women should know their places and certainly not express sexuality in public. That’s just for men. Disgusting tramp. Who even allowed her out of the trailer? ---

I’ve seen several youtube twerking clips that were kind of silly but harmless. Just teens showing out and having fun. Anything can be taken to an extreme and cross over into bad taste. The way I understood it, what makes it specifically “twerking” is the gluteal moves a.k.a. booty-popping/-clapping. Merely bending over and pelvic-thrusting to simulate doggystyle, including up against your parner, had been all over music video (and young people’s parties) for a long time as “freak dancing” or “grinding”. Or “perreo” in Latino culture. It’s hard to keep up with the jargon! Were we really that confusing to our own parents back when? And considering what else you can run into at Wal-Mart, I’d consider that lady an improvement to my shopping experience. ---

Uganda, in particular, featured this sort of dance, and I remember some of our West African francophone teachers doing it at a class party.
