# Twisted Trees (No, not that kind.)

There’s an excellent summary of the then current knowledge in a book by James Trefil called “Meditations at 10,000 Feet” about twisting in spruce trees. Lots of the theories mentioned here are explored and none fully explains the data. It’s a great mystery, one that doesn’t yet have a definitive answer.
