Nitpick nitpick. In “The Enterprise Incident”, Spock uses a fake move he calls the “Vulcan Death Grip” on Kirk, in order to fool the Romulans into thinking that Spock had killed Kirk. Nurse Chapel is the one that reveals that there is no such thing as a “Vulcan Death Grip”. ---

_Sorry for returning to the hijack, kids_ Yes, I knew that. I was merely pointing out that in the prior (second) season, they had a gimmick (not used on screen) that could be _construed_ as a VDG. And since when was Nurse Chapel considered an expert on Vulcan culture and martial arts? Having an itch for Spock doesn’t count. TBF, maybe she does a lot of reading on her off-time. Especially after that whole _pon farr_ thing… **The producers wish to apologize, and inform the audience that those who have hijacked this thread…have been…hijacked…Never mind.** ---
