He’s always been unbalanced. He had a gambling addiction in his teenage years. He got hooked on cocaine in his 20s and then moved to crack in his 30s. His house was foreclosed on from constant debt and his wife divorced him. He supported himself by opening and running multiple small businesses, things like carpet cleaning services, bars, restaurants, and lunch wagons. In his 40s he invented the “My Pillow”, which became very successful, and got sober. That’s how his fortune was made, and he has been riding that ever since. But he has always been a troubled person, fighting addiction to gambling and drugs. ---

The good thing about arbitration decisions is they are generally final. The ability to challenge in court is severely limited and in practice non-existent. He will have to pay this. He can delay a little while by filing a court action to invalidate the decision, but his chances are about zero.
