# Two questions, if I may...

Two reasons:

[li]Some people get impatient when things are slow and keep hitting “submit;” the 60 seconds between posts cuts down on the number of double and triple (and quadruple, and quintuple) posts from this. If you’re really determined you can still do it–you see them all the time–but it’s harder.[/li]  
And

It kept **handy** from posting so much the board exploded.

I presume this is not turned on because it would slow the boards down even more, since it would be quite processor intensive. And no one’s hurt by spelling errors.

That’s not necessarily so, **SmackFu** … it’s a known fact that spelling errors made the baby Jesus cry.

And sometimes a spelling error can keep a good Pit Fight going for three pages:

“Excuse me, but it’s spelled ARBITRARY”

“Don’t get snippy”

“Get a dictionary then!”

and so on. We’re a fun group, if not mature and forgiving

Of course, it’s pretty simple to write a post in a word processor, spell check it, then copy and paste it here.
