First, when you’re gambling in Macau, what currency are you betting? The Chinese Yuan? The local pataca?

Second, am I remembering correctly that, until a couple of decades ago, Macau was a total dump? I understand that, today, it rivals the Vegas Strip in terms of opulence and decadence.
