Two State Solution: how could it actually practically work?

One way to do a one state solution is to Lebanize Israel, although that didn’t work very well for Lebanon in practice.

For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, instead of just proportional representation, Lebanon before its civil war had a system of power sharing, where different groups were guaranteed a certain amount of power and representation.

Or, they could have a federal system, where both groups are self governing but the federal government in Jerusalem would handle foreign policy and defense. Two sovereign states in a union situation, kinda like our 50 sovereign states in a union.

I’m not aware of Egypt having any significant Palestinian population.

Jordan of course is a different story. There Palestinians make up a majority of the and almost 50 years ago the PLO tried to overthrow the Jordanian government during the Black September Revolt.
