Nobody, and I mean in my sum total experience nobody, agrees with me on what I consider a similarly outrageous refusal to rename a corporate entity in the wake of the September 11 massacres:

No, I’m sorry, we can’t use Roman numerals.

I just can’t deal with the trauma of looking at the number II. (sob! “I’ll never be the same!”)

Besides the obvious pornographic symbolism of X, XX and XXX.

Nope. THERE WILL BE NO NUMBERS. They entire concept of numbers is a satanic plot. It must be true, \<insert American Televangelist name here\> said so.

Just think about it. 666 is a number. Credit cards have numbers. They want PEOPLE to be numbers!!! (wuahaha!)

Funny. I was thinking the same thing to myself. But it takes a master of irony to point it out in public.

Now I have to spend another 2 or 3 hours feeling dumb.
