I have never heard of juggling sticks, unless you mean a devil stick?
I kid you not. On Friday while commuting home I saw a guy riding one of those . I didn’t see him stop at the lights though – that would have been interesting.
It looked very scary.
Stop clowning around.
I’m scared
That shouldn’t be all that expensive. It sounds like your bushings and or bearings need replacing.
Whoa there! I need unicycle repair advice. Leave my medical problems out of it.
Re-Devil sticks
Yup. That’s what I meant. It’s been a bizzare and disorienting weekend.
Man, I want one of these unicycles. That looks like so much fun and easier than the traditional unicycle.
I’ll see your two-wheeled unicycle, and raise you the original all-terrain unicyclist.
Occasionally I’d see Kris touring UBC. Or crossing bridges. By riding on the frickin handrail.
Oh HELL yes. Forget a pennyfarthing, that is what I want for Christmas.
I could see you perched above that biwheeled contraption, Jeff, but only in a Russian military uniform, wheeling forward in a manner that would make Scampi proud: I’ve seen things, I’ve seen them with my eyes, I’ve seen things, they’re often in disguise…
Carrots, handbags and cheese also approve.
There is a very real danger that Opal will become an evil clown. Which would be cool.
can’t sleep… Opal will eat me…
I wish
Sorry about the delay Opal, I hadn’t been around the net since last week. I just responded to your email so you know to check it. I think mine is a Savage and that your friends warned you away from it. I posted other information in the reply.
How long does it typically take to learn how to ride a uni – and after how many falls, bruises, scrapes, and knocks to the noggin?
It took me about two days to learn how to ride.
We had a P.E. teacher who taught a unit on unicycles. On the first day I got on, fell off, got on, fell off, got on, fell off. She let me barrow a unicycle to take home. The next day I was riding on the sidewalk in front of our house. That was 15 yeras ago. I am excited for the day when my kids show an interest in learning to ride.
I was given a unicycle for Christmas and have yet to master it; could I ask those of you who can do it:
Should I be loading most of my body weight on the pedals or the saddle?
Should I put the saddle high, so that my legs are quite straight, or accept having to bend them more, but sit with a lower centre of gravity?
