The suspect fired multiple rounds, after all. (At least I can recognize hyperbole, though overall I believe police should keep their weapons holstered far more than they do currently.) Thing is, we don’t know squat about this case yet. Surely not enough to draw any lessons that conveniently fit a pre-formed social or political agenda. Ms Bland is dead, and ought not be. This policeman is dead, and ought not be. All the rest that we know would fit into a thimble and still leave enough room for a banker’s heart, Sean Hannity’s brain and Donald Trump’s pecker. ---

However, your public and enthusiastic approval of the murder of police officers is quite beyond acceptable, and demands that I renounce, denounce and condemn in the strongest possible terms. I hear a theme being suggested here, insinuated with a sneer and a wink. It would seem that the link between this wretched murder and Black Lives Matter is so obvious and apparent that waiting for any actual evidence is a waste of time. Perhaps I misread, misunderstand.
