Academic challenge time. I need to find a typing/keyboarding learning program that is age appropriate to rack up 6 hours of tutorial time. I would also like bambina to actually start to learn to type.

Bambina likes WebKidz, DreamBox, etc.

Prefer free but don’t mind paying for a stand alone or online program.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

The BBC schools website has [Dance Mat Typing](http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/flash/stage1.shtml), we use this at school to get the children started, they seem to like it!

It’s free, but not I’m not sure it can be described as a course.

Mavis Beacon worked for me when I was around that age. You’ll have to buy it (around $20), and they have software for kids.
