I whoosed myself with a typo once. I told someone my e-mail addy was at “Hotmale”. I totally missed it until she came back with “You’re kidding”. Paging Dr. Freud! ---

Ugh, I know how THIS goes… About a year ago, I was having trouble with a game, so I went to the much vaunted [www.gamefaqs.com](http://www.gamefaqs.com) . Little did I know that I mistyped it as [www.gamefaq.com](http://www.gamefaq.com) , and got directed to a wonderful pornography site. How fun! (Note to mods: The domain name has since been re-registered by [www.gamefaqs.com](http://www.gamefaqs.com) , and is not longer obscene. Unless you find cheating obscene.) ---

It’s not just individuals that fall foul of this. Ernst & Young (global Big Five professional services firm) ran an educational website for students, and didn’t renew one of the domain names – either .org or .net, can’t remember which – and an enterprising Armenian fella has re-registered it as a redirect to “Euro Teen Sluts”.
