Ed could you please address the questioned asked in post 109 of the ‘re: closure of the Big T thread’. None of the mods seem to want to tackle them, though they are very valid questions that deserve answers. They have been asked, repeatedly, in the correct forum, in a polite fashion, yet continue to be roundly ignored. Thank you for your time. ---

We’ve all heard all of the political arguments already. To save us from having to wade through them again, can we number the topics to make it easier to post? In other words, instead of posting some worn-out variation of “I support the Democrats and oppose the Republicans,” one could just post “1.A.” Someone making the opposite statement would post “1.B.” Other parties could have other letters. To refer to a particular Senate or House race, one would post “1.A (AR)” or “1.B (VA-8).” Issues could be given little numbers. Abortion could be “i”, gun control “ii”, campaign finance “iii”, immigration “iv”, etc. Thus, one might post “1.B.(ii, iii) (AZ)” Predictions about the overall numbers could be accommodated. If you think the Republican will pick up 15 seats in the House, you would post: “2.B (House) +15” So could issues in general: If you think immigration will hurt the Republicans in the Senate, you would post: “B (Sen.) -(iv).” If you think the election will help Obama: “3.A.” If it hurt him: “3.b” ---

He hears random prisoners call out seemingly random numbers. “87.” Most of the prisoners laugh. “33.” More prisoners laugh.
