No it’s not. It’s a young sergeant and a few privates who committed a criminal act. And they weren’t very good about it. That’s why we have Levenworth. Soldiers commit crimes just like any other segment of the population only at a lower rate. Not any more disturbing than other violent crimes. Dumb privates do dumb things. ---

Dumb privates do dumb things. :dubious: Yes, in a **soldier,** I should think conspiracy (however laughable) to overthrow the government is a more disturbing crime than any other, including rape, murder, or spying for the enemy. Sometimes governments **are** overthrown by their own soldiers, you know – who are always armed and ready to do it – and it almost always turns out to be a Very Bad Thing, regardless of the form of the government overthrown. ---
