Happy Birthday Bumba! After all that wacky coding, that’s all I have. Well, not all. I have to remember to pick Soupo up from school and hour early today and tomorrow. (Tomorrow is his last day this year.) It would be sad if he had to sit in the schoolyard for an hour. He might get bored. I barely caught the puppy before he pooped down the kitchen register today. I think that says all it needs to, right there. ---

One of my favourite words is in another language. It’s _quaewae_. That means, ‘spear fishing at night with lanterns by women’. Only two syllables! In Ojibway (Anishnaubaek!) Yay! I think we need octopus, too. I am collecting jars for our annual jam-making day. It’s very exciting. Quasi-Daughter, Driving Husband and I make tons of strawberry jam every year. This year we’re going to also make cherry and blueberry jam, and Attacks Husband wants to help. Mr. Lissar lurks in the background trying not to get sticky. We may have multiple jam days, because I’m not sure that strawberry, blueberry, and cherry days will coincide. Actually I buy the cherries already pitted. Every year a big grocery store near me sells ten pounds of pitted cherries for I think $25, which is a pretty good price. Yay, almost jam season! Boo, it’s hot, and I hate summer! ---

Happy birthday **Bumba**! And to \*\*KeithT \*\*today too! 🙂 Anyone have any suggestions for coming up with two pages of BS to say “nothing’s changed in the last 6 months”? It’s much easier when there’s a dramatic change that needs to be explained away! Even if it’s a bad change, it gives you something to talk about. I’m spinning my wheels and watching the deadline (tomorrow afternoon) loom larger and larger. Ugh. But it’s gorgeous and sunny out and I’m going rollerblading now! Woo! ---

Happy B-Day to one of my faaaaaave MMPers, **Bumba**!!! All kinds of virtual hugs and friendly smooches are coming your way! My sweetie got stuck in the neck tonight - by a doctor. It’s supposed to help the pain in his neck. So he’s crashed. I hooked up the trailer to my van - tomorrow, I’m getting a captain’s bed, dresser, and shelf set from a coworker who’s moving. $150 for the lot. Yay! I’ll need to get a mattress, but that’s no biggie. So we’ll have a bed for the second spare bedroom, plus space to store stuff. And, my baby is coming tomorrow to visit for 10 whole days! YAY!!
