This day has been incredibly long. I just want to go home. One more hour and 15 minutes and then I can go home. I had a major snafu here at work, but I think, I hope, I pray that it’s all ironed out now. Our higher HQ didn’t like some of the data we submitted and had serious questions about it, as well as questioning or QA abilities. They were right on one count, but the rest of our correction/resubmission was basically telling them, in a PC way, we don’t collect that type of data and we’re not about to try and pull some S\*\*\* from our asses and this is why, yadda, yadda, yadda. Ugh! Happy Birthday Keith T Huh, how about that? I think my coding worked right this time. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUMBA!! My coding has been very bad lately. This weekend my daughter and I are supposed to go and pick out her first formal dress for her first formal dance. She has no idea what she wants. I foresee a long shopping day ahead of me. **Rue,** all I’ve got to say about the puppy is I’m glad my dog is potty trained. I can see it now. You go to turn on your heat this fall and ask what the hell that awful smell is coming from your register. Ah, it’s eau de puppy poop! That’s what it is. ---

I sneaked out of work a little early (well, ten minutes early) and went for a walk in the rain. Not really rain, more like drizzle, but my feet were soaked by the time I got home. It feels so good to take off those wet shoes and socks. My feet are all dry and toasty now. It’s the little things that make me happy! **Tupug,** congrats on the raise! Well, ahem. I meant to get in here (to MMP) faithfully every night [sub]my ongoing efforts to slink unnoticed through the door, if you remember…[/sub] but I find that as usual life has prevented me. I wouldn’t mind that so much if said life was filled with sunshine and happiness, but instead I didn’t have the best week I’ve ever had. Well, we had some of that there sunshine, but…mostly I just want to wake up and find out that we all got “do-overs.” Now, THAT is a lousy reason for not coming in here and basking in your rollicking good vibes. However, no point in spreading doom and gloom all over the party so I’ll shut up on the subject. For now. 😃 I must say that I notice that some of you had birthdays. Seems like a lot, what with the ones in the past two weeks…you guys got a lock on the late spring birthday thing? Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVERYONE!! May you have a wonderful birthday month, and may the day you wake up to tommorow treat you better than you even deserve. Happy birthday to all! Happy unbirthday to the rest. I’m going home for the weekend not this weekend, but the next - and I was saying to my dad that everyone except would be getting a gift. I’ll be giving my mother her late mother’s day gift, my father his father’s day gift, and my brother & SIL birthday gifts. But no presents for me - except for the ones I buy when I go shopping that weekend. And I think that’s enough for me. It’s just about 12:30 (00:30 in 24HR notation), and I’m about to pull some nice, warm, banana raspberry muffins out of their tins, and let them cool for tomorrow morning’s breakfast. Yum! Susan ---

Im disappointed. At the railroad club business meeting, I found out that Nutjob is already on double secret probation for shit he pulled on a couple other members around the same time, and will mostly likely fade into the night by being administrativley kicked out because he’s behind in his dues payments. Kinda took all the fun out of the evening. To add insult to injury, the club picnic is next weekend. It involves drinking beer, eating food, and running trains; I’ll be at home on a severly restrictive liquid diet that forbids liquid bread… :mad: ---

AWW **VunderBob**!!! But just think how jealous they’ll be at next year’s picnic when **Bobbio** is looking f-_aaaaaaa_-bu-lous! You can say, “Gee it’s awfully hot!” and then take off your shirt revealing your og-like **Bobbio** torso and watch all the other railroaders turn green with envy and/or swoon, depending on the individual railroader’s inclination. Just think about that next weekend. Also, I’m assuming there’ll be some good pain meds for recovery, so there’s that too. ---

Carbonated bevs are a no-no for a couple of months, and officially discouraged, but not banned, after that because of gas trappage. I hear about statistics like that and think, “Some people just have way too much time on their hands.” Kind of like when they call for a 70% chance of rain when it’s been raining since midnight, and shows absolutely no sign of ever letting up. **Wile E** you are evil. Actually that song always seems to be in my head and now they use it for an Advantage commercial, so just when you finally get it out of your head, it sneaks back in. Also, every time I hear “Bumba” it makes me think of that song, so I figured I may as well spread the misery around. Strangely enough I like the song, it’s fun.
