Ubuntu: Convince me to switch.

I think this is absolutely right. I did screw up something that seems to have been the easiest part of this whole thing. I believe it was because I was in a hurry once I booted off the CD and didn’t pay close enough attention to what I was doing in Vista before I started the whole process. I tried to follow the directions given, and it seems I just missed out on some small detail (or large detail, hell, I don’t know) - but everything turned out fine.

The problem hasn’t been with Ubuntu, but with my actions before switching over. To be honest, other than that, I would recommend switching to almost anyone, Ubuntu has been a wonderful OS since I got it running, and the other problem I had (wireless) was something I had read before I even started thinking about actually switching, I just wasn’t sure the best way to handle it. The answer I got on this board was simply perfect and solved my problem very quickly. I think that switching is one of the best moves I’ve made in computing (given I haven’t been switched long) - it was just my execution that was poor.
