They are used to it by now, and in fact several of them have internalized it and are not so different. Oh, another Ronaldo free kick! Nice, but not on target 🙂 ---

Is he really that bad? I’ve never seen him outside some highlights. Wait, I remember that he tried to claim a goal he didn’t score in Qatar, it seems like he IS really that bad. ---

Well of course he is fabulously gifted, so all that is forgiven when he scores a hattrick. And he has MANY hattricks. And to be fair, he has probably put in an impossible number of hours of graft to get the most from his gift. ---

I think his hattrick days are over. Maybe in opera leagues, but not in international championships. ---

The BBC commentator was saying that (before this game) Ronaldo has taken 58 direct free-kicks at major international tournaments and has scored just 1 goal from them. “Maybe let someone else have a go”. ---

These teams have only looked good in little bursts, and Slovenia seems incapable of putting together a string of passes under any kind of pressure. Also, the only way I root for Portugal in any shape or form is if Pepe scores the winning goal. ---
