The same thing happened to me. I had a discussion with myself and decided it was shit.
The one that made me laugh said that my credit card was going to be billed with kiddie porn. Apparently I had a subscription and three tapes a month would show up at my home…unless of course, I gave them my credit card info and social security number so they could cancel it. The virus was attached.
I got one that just said something like:
this one is for you
your password is “23834”
no from or why or anything.
Unless I’m mistaken, the default setting in Windows XP Home is to **not **show the file extensions. You have to change the setting yourself to un-hide them.
the mail was from support@myrealbox.com and read thusly:
luckily, I scan EVERYTHING so when it came up as having a virus I forwarded the mail to the real support.
What a bunch of assmunches. :mad:
