# ugly clothes

I had a deep purple crushed velvet double breasted swing style winter coat. It had black faux fur collar and cuffs and big gold buttons. Very Jimi Hendrix or Lenny Kravitz -ish. My BF at the time absolutely refused to be seen in public with me while wearing it. I thought it was awesome. I had to toss it, though, I spilled bleach on it.

Hey! Spilling bleach on something is **no** reason to toss it! 😉

I like the jacket!

This isn’t about an ugly article of clothing, but rather about wearing something _outre_ and not giving a darn. I once went, briefly, to a formal dance, stoned out of my gourd and wearing a purple velvet suit, Swinging London-era sunglasses (in December) and fur-lined boots. I “accidentally” spilled sour cream on my ex, then left to attend a rave. I didn’t go for the purpose of harrassing my ex, but the way he was rubbing his date’s back…!
